This policy explains, in plain English, what information Armor Firearms & Training ("we," "us") collects when you visit armorfirearmsllc.com, book a class, call us, join our email list, or buy from us. It also covers how we use that information and the choices you have.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to run our classes and serve you:

  • Booking a class, lesson, or Practice Club session. We use Calendly for scheduling, so we receive your name, email address, phone number, and any answers you give on the booking form.
  • Contact forms. Your name, email, phone number, and your message.
  • Phone calls. Calls may be answered by our AI receptionist service, Smith.ai, which takes down your name, phone number, and the reason for your call so we can get back to you.
  • Our email list. If you sign up, Mailchimp stores your name and email address.
  • Digital product purchases. Guides and other digital products are sold through Payhip, which handles checkout and payment. We receive your name, email address, and order details.
  • Online card payments. Payments made on our website are processed by our payment processor, Fortis Pay. We don't store your full card number.
  • Waivers and in-person records. Information you provide on waivers, sign-in sheets, and certificates of completion.
  • Website data. Basic technical information, such as browser type, device, pages visited, and approximate location from your IP address, collected through cookies and similar tools (see "Cookies and analytics" below).

How we use it

  • To schedule and confirm your class, lesson, or session, and send reminders or schedule changes, such as a weather cancellation
  • To answer your calls, messages, and questions
  • To process payments, refunds, and digital product downloads
  • To issue certificates of completion and keep training records
  • To send our email newsletter and class announcements, if you've signed up
  • To keep our website working and secure and improve it
  • To meet our legal, tax, and recordkeeping obligations

We don't sell your information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone. We don't share it with other businesses for their own marketing.

Firearm transfers

If you buy or transfer a firearm through us, we collect the information that federal and state law require for the background check and transfer records. That information is handled as federal requirements direct. It is used only for that purpose, kept as the law requires, and never sold.

Third-party services we use

We use trusted service providers to run the business. They process your information on our behalf and under their own privacy policies:

  • Calendly: online booking and scheduling
  • Smith.ai: phone answering
  • Mailchimp: email newsletter
  • Payhip: digital product sales and payments
  • Fortis Pay: website card payments
  • Our website host (Gun Rodeo): website and contact forms

We may also share information when the law requires it, such as to respond to a valid legal request, or to protect the safety of our students, staff, or the public.

Cookies and analytics

Our website and the services above may use cookies (small files saved in your browser) to keep the site working, remember your settings, and show us in general terms how visitors use the site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some features, such as booking or checkout, may not work properly without them.

Email and text message opt-out

  • Email: every marketing email we send has an "unsubscribe" link. You can also email info@armorfirearmsllc.com and ask to be removed.
  • Text messages: if we text you about a booking or class, you can reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts. You can also call us and ask.

Even after you opt out of marketing, we may still contact you about a class or purchase you've booked, such as a confirmation or cancellation.

How long we keep information

We keep your information only as long as we need it to provide our services, keep training and certificate records, and meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. Firearm transfer records are kept as federal law requires. To have your information corrected or deleted, contact us. We'll honor the request unless we're required to keep the records.

Children under 18

Our website and online services are not directed to children under 18, and we don't knowingly collect personal information online from anyone under 18. Minors may take part in certain training only with a parent or guardian, who provides any information we need and signs the youth waiver. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Keeping information safe

We use reasonable steps to protect your information. No website or online service is 100% secure, though, so we can't guarantee complete security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
