Course Description
Haven't been to the range in a while? Need to rebuild your confidence before moving into defensive-level training?
Never fired a handgun, or own one but never really learned how to use it? Learn to Shoot is a relaxed, beginner-friendly class that covers the fundamentals safely, one step at a time.
The class is taught by NRA-certified instructors and law enforcement firearms trainers. It focuses on safe gun handling, accuracy fundamentals, and proper shooting technique. With at most 10 students, every shooter gets personal coaching.
Whether you're brand new or simply want to sharpen your skills, this refresher gives you the solid foundation you need to feel ready and capable at the range.

What You'll Learn
✅ The fundamental firearm safety rules, safe handling, loading, and unloading
✅ Range etiquette and range commands
✅ Proper stance, grip, sight alignment, sight picture, and trigger control
✅ Accuracy drills, managing recoil, and improving shot placement
✅ Supervised live fire at your own pace, with feedback from your instructor

Your $75 includes class materials and a certificate of completion.
Gun, ammo, and eye and ear protection: Bring your own gun and ammo (preferred). Need a loaner? Gun and ammo $25, eye and ear protection $5.
Please bring: a valid government-issued photo ID and your signed Adult Waiver Form (download it from our Gun Training page).

• Classes run on Saturdays. Seats are limited to 10 per class, so book early.
• Concealed carry live-fire dates: Saturdays Oct 17, Nov 7, Dec 5, and Dec 19, 9–10 AM. On Nov 7 and Dec 5, you can take the live-fire at 9 AM and stay for Learn to Shoot at 10 AM.
• Prefer a private lesson? Private lessons are $95 per person for 1 hour or $145 per person for 2 hours (groups up to 10), all-inclusive. The concealed carry certificate is included with the 2-hour lesson only.
